Sounds like shit on You Tube, but back in the day, this LP ushered in a new standard for sound. First, the bell tolling the loss of former lead singer Bon Scott. Then, the main riff starts playing on the right channel(Malcolm, I'm guessing). Phil starts gently hitting a crash cymbal so it sounds like a ride. Then, he adds the kick drum, punching you in the gut, and the snare, cracking you across the face. Then the main riff is DOUBLED, giving this thick, ominous, almost evil sound. When Brian begins screaming like a banshee,it's all over.
Damn. Mutt Lange knew exactly what he was doing.

@uncalled4 Around 1993 when La Macarena came out, my Italian neighbour's daughter and her friends would play it on repeat at full volume in their back yard while dancing to it, they were like 14. At one point it was driving me bananas so I put on Hell's Bells at full volume on my then massive 500 watt per channel stereo with all my windows open, their Mother called the cops on me at about 3 PM and I just laughed when they showed up. She gave me the evil eye for several years after that as she didn't like Highway to Hell either, eventually I sold and moved away, lol 😆
