Featuring John Coltrane and Gil Evans. The amount of talent on this stage is staggering. Davis’s “Kind of Blue” and Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme” are among my favorite Sunday morning listens.

Great, great album. In his mind, Miles was always on the move. So KOB doesn’t resemble anything before it; he didn’t imitate it in subsequent records either.
