EGON KAISER: 'Du bist mir so sympatisch' (1934) (I like you such a lot) [I Like Jazz]

Did this record get blacklisted? If so, well done Egon Kaiser. Bunch of jazzbos having a right laugh here, and annoying all the right people.

What happened to the song? It was all instrumental.

@Elevatorpitches An awful lot of these jazz and dance numbers didn't have the same structure as more modern songs. Maybe three minutes long with a bit of vocals (called the 'refrain') somewhere in the middle. I have just discovered a Henry Hall BBC dance orchestra song from 1934 in a pile of 78s at home and it follows the same pattern.
@supersnipe Yeah well on this one the vocal never came...its ok...I am not obsesssed with this stuff.

I do know that it was a high time for jazz in 1939 Berlin and most people lived in a dream back then..detatched from reality in lots of ways.

The film was creepy 4 that reason. They just had no idea.

I hope so. I tried really hard to listen to it and my ears started to bleed. 🤕
