I've had it with people whining about how 'guns kill people,'

guns don't kill people, death kills people. Ask a doctor, it's a medical fact. You can't die from a bullet. You can die from a cardiac arrest or organ failure or a major hemorrhage. But small piece of metal ain't the problem.

@badminton hopefully they will work out as well as drug laws

@SW-User The war on drugs is a failure, and it contributes to gun violence.
SW-User
@chrisCA so why would anyone think gun laws would be any less of failure?
chrisCA · M
@SW-User Drug use has to do with addiction. Are Americans addicted to guns?
SW-User
@chrisCA Americans are obsessed with smuggling. No prohibition would ever work in this country all you do is take even more regulations away
chrisCA · M
@SW-User I doubt the United States would ever prohibit guns. That ship has sailed.

@chrisCA No one is talking about prohibiting guns. Gun control laws are screening laws aimed at preventing dangerous, unfit people from getting access to guns. And banning dangerous military-grade weapons like the AR-15 and AK-47, and large-capacity magazines.

I want to see a federal license required to buy guns and ammo. The license would be much like a driver's license, with photo and finger-prints required. To get the license would require completing a gun safety training class. Also liability laws holding gun owners responsible for endangering the public.
