When A Song Is So Much More.
[image deleted]Yup, those guys. The Eagles were a band which serenaded me through my West Coast enlistment a life time ago. I could easily state a case for them, particularly their rendition of Hotel Califormia from their Hell Freezes over tour. Holay shizz kids, an acoustic display that was raw, visceral, and emotional.... those friggin' guys sang to mankind.
And yet, even the brightest stars sometimes splinter out across the night sky in one final act of defiance, and I offer that in Don Henley's distinctive voice on the following song. It may be about a wedding, but the words...measured, reseverved and instructive. There are far more things going on in Henley's message in this one that anyone with a soul will gather in.
