I first heard this song when First Baptist Church of Land O'Lakes showed this movie on a Sunday night in the late 1970s. (See attached link.) The pastor seemed to get his kicks by scaring all us kids into science fiction presented as truth getting people getting saved and free but bound to his teachings and lost to the rest of life. Before he left he was harassing this girl my age to get dunk baptized. (And the year after he got called by the Lord to pastor another church she got baptized. Different story different time.) Anyway it's a nice song. But it's based on science fiction. Rapture doesn’t exist in the Bible. It's made up. And Christianity has cashed in on many people's suspension of disbelief.
