Five more minutes?

I was watching CMA Fest on tv just a few minutes ago. Scotty McCreery sang his song “Five More Minutes”. Is there anyone who you long to have 5 more minutes with? I know I do.

My mother, pre-dementia. 😞

@bijouxbroussard yes - although I'd even take 5 minutes with dad post dementia

@bijouxbroussard I know that feeling so well, but it's my wife not my mother. :'(
@BabyLonia The last week of my mother’s life, she was non-verbal, refused to eat, and mostly slept.That’s when we really understood we were losing her. 😞

@bijouxbroussard i had that with my Father-in-law, it is awful. He was in a semi-coma and we did not know how much he was aware

@bijouxbroussard i was very lucky that dad never forgot me, even at his worst state whwn he was in pain and confusion, he was saying he didnt know who he was, and i asked him if he knew me.....he said "you're my life"
That is what keeps me going
@ChipmunkErnie I’m so sorry, Ernie. 🥺

@bijouxbroussard Nothing we can do about it, just deal with it and wait. She tries to talk, but so often just can't think of the words or say things we can follow. And I don;t know if she has coherent thoughts and just can't express them outwardly, or if she is as confused and lost inside as she seems outside.
