Is homosexuality stigmatized in your country?
It is utilized as an insult but I cannot comprehend why.

Some parts of the U.S. it still is. But people can now marry and adopt children, which is something many of my friends never imagined happening. In the 80s when a friend came out, she lost custody of her daughter.
