I Love Country Music

When i get back to the US I want to go to a country music festival because I've never been to one before. Does anyone have any really good suggestions?

Now a days there is no real "country" festivals they all have pop and country. Local ones are usually much better.
@ashgirl71 You can pretty much thank people like me because I wouldn't go near the genre if it wasn't mixed with something more pleasant.

@ashgirl71 local festivals or events? I like the poppy-country haha, don't hate me. But I also like old country. I've been to nashville! That had a pretty good mix at the bars.

@BetweenKittensandRiots genre should not be mixed. that is like playing R&B on a rock station and calling it rock. so wrong.
@ashgirl71 I don't get the weird beliefs people have about music, God I love Linkin Park for instance and it's pretty clear they were going for fusing Hard Rock to Rap...

Also I LIKE it electronic, synthesizers are pretty much my favorite, This "back to the basics let's strip it down" crap has never resonated.

@ExperienceDropOut What do u consider "poppy country"?
@ashgirl71 Basically anything they've played on the radio since the 90's lmao

@BetweenKittensandRiots Right and I like Styx but they are not played on country radio are they?

@ExperienceDropOut HAHA ok but maybe you should check out Luke Combs or Jon Pardi.
@ashgirl71 I wouldn't know I don't listen to the Radio anymore and even if I did I probably wouldn't tune in to Country.

I've been disenfranchized by the Radio for almost as long as I've been alive.
