@Musicman What some would call their particular "genre" was pure diversity. And I've always loved what Ringo said, looking back, that it was virtually all positive, fun, even full of love. Something like that.

@SW-User Yes they would. Most good groups are blessed with one good front man. The Beatles had four.

@Musicman And then there's the guy who turned them down because "guitar groups were on the way out"....

@SW-User And their back up guy when someone couldn't be there was Eric Clapton. Another front man.

@SW-User That was someone from Decca Records. Funny he should have said that because although pop was changing, the Shadows were [i]huge[/i] in the early Sixties. What were they? A guitar group....
