“Every Night” – Paul McCartney

Lovely tune from Paul McCartney’s first solo album, McCartney.

His song “spotlights the depression he suffered after the breakup of the Beatles and is a declaration of his love for Linda [McCartney]”.

The vocals and instrumentals on “Every Night” were all performed by the former Beatle. In fact, he and his then-wife, Linda, were the only performers on the debut album.

Also, Paul McCartney turns 80 years old today. Happy birthday to Sir Paul.

I think it's a lovely tune, too. I'd not seen that video before, and they all look so sort of joyful and free then. I have respect and admiration for both Linda and Paul, for reasons other than their talent.

@Piper Paul really was/is a devoted family man. I also have great respect and admiration for both Linda and Paul, probably for the same reasons as you do.

@Rutterman I feel a kinship with them because of the dietary decision they made, and their caring about and actions for the lives of both human non-human animals. Seems Paul has never abandoned that, or his concern for the health of our planet.
