I prefer the Stones. The Beatles let fame, drugs and women -namely women- and egos, break then up. After the "Revolver" Lp- (or wa sit the one after that-"Rubber Soul" I was never much impressed. But George's playing had got better- he was more introspective.
The Stones, by contrast, never let any of those things break them up. Since they lasted longer than the 1960's, they had to learn to adopt to a certain sound, and funk, of each decade after. The 70's Stones are not the 60's Stones.
But I know you --and you are die hard Beatles. Neither of us is gonna waiver on our faves.
