Pete Waterman summed them up - when they walked on the stage ti win the Eurovison song contest he heard Roy Wood. They used the two girls storng voices and harmonies and the 8 track recording technique for a big bright sound and copies very style without ever having thier own. One of us is classic regae for example. Nothing wrong with borrowing - every composer has used it as far as I know.

Great hit from the 70s. One of ABBA's first big hits

@BridgeOvertroubledWaters Someone told me it took over the number one position from Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", and that also has "Mama Mia" in the lyrics.

@HairbrushDiva Correct 😀 It took over from Queen's finest on 25/01/1976, remaining at the top for 2 weeks. The song that dethroned it was 'Forever and Ever' by Slik, but who remembers them?? 🤔
