“You Really Got Me” was the first hit single by the British rock band, the Kinks.

The song was written by the band’s frontman Ray Davies. It was recorded and released in 1964.

Truly a great song by an enormously influential band.

The Kinks are the underrated artists of the British Invasion. I picked up The Kinks Journey Anthology 1, 2, 3. It is really enjoyable.

@Munumbis Good song. Ray Davies wrote it in memory of his sister, who died of a heart attack while dancing at a dance hall.
