Good morning ...
Am not in my best, yesterday had some gut irritations and been sleeping most of the day. But later I stood up and cleaned the whole house and for that I am grateful, to wake up in a clean house.
My house cat is greatly affectionate today too for which I am grateful.
Then I overslept, and so when I came down to feed the street cats, they were all gathered and waiting :))around 10 cats.. maybe 9 or 11 ..
Okay so let's begin with gratitude. Three points of gratitude for each day, for few days until I remember again, how blessed I am and how good life is...
1. Am grateful for my tea. It is not the thrill of coffee, but black tea makes a good substitute since it does contain some degree of caffeine and so I don't feel the withdrawal ..I too like the taste, with brown sugar and lemon. And I believe it is better for me and my system, which makes all the difference. It is more mild. I have managed to quit a lot in life, a hell of a lot, but with caffeine I still get on and off and that's okay. Similarly to being vegetarian. I am still trying and I am not giving up, but I do not blame myself either for when I am enjoying whatever it is that I decide to enjoy. And that take me to no2//
2. Grateful for never, ever giving up. I admire this resilience and perseverance. People from the outside cannot comprehend this necessarily and that is what makes it even harder, to fight alone. I guess that is life for all. But in the long run, the fruits of watering my trees begin to appear. It is difficult for my sensitivity, multi-dimensionality and crazy creativity to be keeping that eye on the Way. And yet I am making it and so, I am thankful to no3//
3. My practices. Grateful to my practices, because as much as I would want to believe that I am a good artist, I am not as strong as I would like me to be. But the practices, art, kung fu, and exercise in general, and meditation, stillness, the ability to quiet down and as my old friend and mentor Loki used to tell me, the ability to "Close the Doors to Chaos" as a master of Chaos, so yeah, what was I saying :D... How grateful I am for all of my tools, which allow me to support myself, in order to be resilient.
4. Yes I feel called for a 4th one, to thank the people. I downplay on this. I always speak about how I fight alone. But my friend gave me her house -yes of course in return with petsitting, but it is still great for me to have a home, plus she gave me a small allowance for the time I would stay - I am grateful for the owner of the business where I worked for, for a little while, for he gave me the keys to his studio, where I go and paint, and I am very grateful for my co-worker for she handed me down all the materials of her daughters' who've died, art materials - I can certainly use them, and she's feeling relieved the work of her is continued in some form. And grateful to all of you that you listen to me here. Thank you.
