Teaching your daughter about trusting strangers

I have a question always cross my mind when I first meet anyone who will come into the life of my daughter Chiara, and I do my best to find out as much about the person in our interview. If I have any reservations about them I talk with my father about them. Papa will be thorough in his investigation and he will advise me quietly.

When I spoke to our neighbour, Signor Buzzanca about piano 🎹 lessons for Chiara, I knew from his answers that Chiara would be perfectly safe with him. He lives opposite us on the first floor.
I have no reservations about this man, who is from a musician family. He has a disability and he earns his living teaching piano. Chiara from the first enjoyed her piano lessons and she has been attending them every week as long as we are at home in Rome.

It was very much the same for her ballet classes and her gymnastics classes at school. Anyone who might touch my daughter is interviewed by me and sometimes by my father, and if we know she will be safe with the person. It is this thoroughness that I have imparted to her so she can understand the importance of checking who they are.

It is probably just as important to get her to feel comfortable if something bad does happen tbh. Can't necessarily clock an abuser by talking to them, they're just people like everyone else. Besides, she's gonna be going to school and meeting other people over her life; you can't vet everyone.
