They where a very popular group in their day.. 1970's 1990's They had more success in the later 80's and early 90's

How cool! I have been a Genesis fan since 1975. I suggest you take a listen to Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Trick of the Tail, Wind and Wuthering... good stuff from that era.

Saw them in 1985 and 1986. The neat thing was, many parents and their teens were enjoying the concert. So much music now is cross-generational and I'd like to think Genesis had a a lot to do with that.

I saw them in concert twice in Nashville. Once before Peter Gabriel left. They put on a good show.

Great song - great band. I preferred the later Phil Collins led trio
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@OldBrit That was when they evolved from Prog - Rick to big - stadium Pop,right ?
OldBrit · 61-69, M
@DavidT8899 yes but Im generally a prog fan but I just found the Collins era they displayed great variety and an energy that for me lacked apart from on Lamb Lies Down.

Then Your Going To Love The Original Music Video

They spent lots of money making this and I was in my last year of highschool when this song came out.

If you like Genesis, listen to old Genesis with Peter Gabriel on vocals. Totally different style, but just awesome.

1970s platinum, up there with Bob Seger, Boston, ELO, Foreigner, Jackson Browne, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Rod Stewart, and The Alan Parsons Project![media=https://youtu.be/56hqrlQxMMI]

That was an era if Phil Collins had anything to do with it it was getting lots of good attention.
GentlemanPirate · 51-55, M

Nevertooold · 56-60, M
Genesis was awesome....If you haven't heard it check out "In the Air Tonight" .....You may find it under Phil Collins... If you like drums that's the song for you?

It's certainly the land of confusion here in the UK at the moment! Listen back to some older Genesis as they went a bit too commercial towards the end under Phil Collins.🎵
