Sheesh this TG DOA album is some unsettling stuff

It was meant to be that way though, to gain some contextual information to be reading while that barrage of sounds washes over my ears, they wanted to be as confrontational and unpleasant as possible.

I go to RYM for smart music critics when i'm trying out something with fresh ears. Throbbing Gristle is just one of those exotic names that I was putting off from really listening to them.

It's trippy, and I don't mind not knowing the words in them songs, but reading about them, and even the art work for the album is unsettling.

It's the spirit of punk, and influenced the Industrial genre, for a better concept album experience there's albums by Coil to look forward to, and Genesis P-Orridge.

Then I have to give a systematic listen to Nurse With Wound, and check off a list of influences included in NWW's infamous debut.

A lot of this stuff is in the spirit of Musique Concrete, which I do like, I bought a few CDs of that stuff, Pink Floyd was my gateway drug for that with their studio album of Ummagumma to be exact.

Weird and crazy soundscapes, i'm up for it whenever I am!!
