Stereophonics version of Handbags & Glad Rags was better than Rod Stewart's (sorry Rod) and the Amy Winehouse version of Valerie was better than the original by Zutons but the best cover I've heard is Rod Stewart covering The First Cut Is The Deepest, it blows Cat Stevens' original out of the water.
