Popular radio music these days

What is going on with the quality of pop radio these days? In the 2000's it used to be cool, but now you just get autotune slop fed to you the whole time. Is this music? AaaaEEEEOOOoooUUUU eeeeee OOooooooooOAAahhh. What a disappointment.

Watched a potentially toungue-in-cheek video the other day on how music correlates to mental health. 25 years ago, 40% of the artists in the charts were bands and mental health issues were way down. Now, none (or very few) of the artists in the charts are bands and mental health issues are way up. Not sure of the scientific correlation but the sentiment is that music ain't what it used to be

@UKNaturist Hmm... I have indeed seen more solo artists these days. I don't know if it's just my impression. And yeah, it could be just one of those correlation-but-not-causation situations.
