As an audiophile, I can nderstand what drives these folks.
The bitter reality is that-by the time we can afford these systems-our hearing ability has declined.
Some audiophiles buy a new vinyl pressing, play it once while digitally recording it, and never play the disc again. (They keep the vinyl as a trophy) Even with all the vinyl care products, the sound will eventually degrade.
For the same reason I gave up pipesmoking (pipecleaners, humidors, reaming tools, etc.), I've gone entirely digital in my playback equipment. And if it isn't at least 96/24, I won't listen.

He could be on the spectrum.
I know a dude who has a stereo system that albeit, isnt as expensive as this one, its prolly not far off.
He has a chair you not allowed to move coz its in the sweet spot of the acoustics.
And you know what? I STILL remember the feeling of when he let me choose some music and sit in that chair when i was younger......it was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G !
I think he ruined srandard speakers for me in that moment.
It was just so crystal clear. It was like it was coming from inside my head.
