Happy Halloween
Let's talk about someone that fits the Halloween image. Take for instance Brian Warner. He grew up in Ohio and was forced to go to a Christian school even though his mom and dad wasn't very religious. They told him he would get a better education there then a public school.
Brian hated school because all the teachers would preach how the world would soon end. Armageddon is not far away, kind of Christian school that put the fear of God into kids. Scared the shit out of Brian and he wanted out. His parents insisted he stayed so Brian did the best he could do to get expelled and eventually succeeded.
Then his dad got another job in Miami and they packed up and left. Brian graduated from high school and got hired as a editor for a music magazine the 25th parallel. A few days later they made him the head writer and editor. So that school must have taught him a great deal. His very first interview was Trent Rezner. That's right Nine Inch Nails Trent Rezner. They became friends and inspired Brian to form a band. But first he needed a little boost to help out his band that he doesn't even have yet so he interviews himself as Marilyn Manson. Even though he has no band or instrument.
That soon would change
Now 2 albums in Portrait of an American family, and Smells like Children. Trent Rezner asked if he would like to make his next album on his label Nothing Records. Trent even took him and his band in until they could complete it. Long story short when that album was released Manson became noticed, Anti Christ Superstar made teachers, parents, and especially preachers and the church shit their pants. This guy is no dummy he got free advertisement by being on TV and seeing these church groups protesting and trying to cancel the concert. That just made kids more interested in what he's doing on stage. I'll finish what I have learned about him later on.
Believe it or not I wasn't really a fan of Manson but after hearing him in several interviews he's very intelligent, and very well spoken. That's when I wanted to learn more about this guy. Here's the song Anti Christ Superstar
