The music of Nino Rota in Fellini
Amarcord -- defines smooth to me, pleasant travels Fellini is saying at the beginning of this 1974 film, which means I Remember, Brian Eno payed tribute to it in one of his ambient albums, and this beguilingly breezy theme is used in my #1 Fassbinder In a Year of 13 Moons

8½ -- i'd have to say this is my #1 Fellini film, and this tune has the goods, which was in the lovely doc on Nino in the supplements, in fact i think it was a more bombastic and rousing rendition, a celebration of 2 great artists collaborating.

The finest ending Fellini gave us imo is Nights of Cabiria. This film ripped my heart out and then put it back in with a cherry on top.
