I've been listening to this a lot lately. My dad & stepmom used to listen to it. I remember hearing it as a kid & actually listening to the words. It's one of those songs that paints a story so well you can picture it in your head the whole time. I was around 10 years old so I understood it enough, but not on the level I understand it now.
It hits harder as an adult who's lived that life & lost a lot of homies. I haven't heard it in so long I forgot it existed but every time I hear the original version, I would think about this song except I never knew who it was or what it was called. My best friend showed it to me the other day & it was like a core memory unlocked 🔓
