My husband likes to listen to classic rock, I like to listen to 80's and 90's contemporary pop!

And my 18 year old son is listening to " I did it my way " By Frank Sinatra, now he is listening to " Something Stupid " by Frank Sinatra! He's an old soul! But tonight I told my son to say I love you if he really means it!!! His brother told him over the phone I love you, and he said he felt awkward to say it back!!!??? I said it's your brother you do love him don't you? It's okay to tell those you love that you love them, against such there is no law! And also I told him Thy will be done!! That is Gods will not I did it my way!! Music may sound nice but it can also lead us astray from the truth. And now he's listening to " Fly me to the moon " Ahh True love, ahem I mean Idolatry at it's finest! God we have fallen from our first Love, the Love of God first then love thy neighbor like we love ourselves! The reason why I know all of this, is because I too committed Idolatry, I lived out the Song Of Songs in the bible, and I learnt my lessons well, what they don't tell you is that they sold their souls vying for love by being nice! Worshipping man rather than God! All music is like that!

My older brother and I were bickering constantly during one long ago Christmas vacation;all about silly unimportant thing. This came to a head when he was about to leave to go back to Uni and his ride was coming any minute.

My Mom was really letting us have it ,saying "Your brothers! You're supposed to love one another. (by t this time ,my brothers friend,Chuck, had arrived and was sitting on the ottoman watching this all play out)

So my Mom said "Go on kiss each other😘!!!

My brother friend was laughing so hard at this juncture he turned around and said,I won't peek!!!

Looking at my brothers look of horror I advanced saying, touching my cheek,Come on give me a kiss!

Well he did, kinda...🙀 none too pleased

It all ended in a laugh ,though not from my brother who was humorless sometimes

@saintsong Well as I said it was about petty stuff,I was 16 and I guess he was 18 or so My Mom was really big on family and once told me if I didn't stick up for my younger brother I'd wish I had🥊

She was pretty menacing for a lady who barely came up to my chest!😄

@bookerdana It's funny how young men argue about petty stuff! I am like a hellicopter parent too, even though they've all grown up and are 26 and 18, the 26 year old has epilepsy and some issues and he's the kindof guy that has to have the last word in.. And so does the 18 year old have to have the last say!! And I'm in the middle like a referee!
