I'm going to make a confession to you, for a long time in my teenage years I grew insecure about my taste in music until it transformed me into a very insincere person about my taste in it that was literally trying my damnest to impress everyone by showing off more and more brutal selection choices and while I do have a taste for some shall we say brutal music I'm sort of the Female fantasy of a bad boy with music who has a heart of gold because there's a softer side to my own and part of why I like talking with you about music is we both connect on that softer end. Most of the stuff we both like I used to wnat to hide under a desk about being into, I got over it eventually, I realized at some point we aren't around on this earth long enough for such inauthenticity about music and that life was too short to go on pretending to hate music I secretly loved and if my friends made fun of me for it I just needed to find better ones.

Authenticity about music is thus a struggle because I'm often so red-faced about it, the fact that I have your friendship about this stuff helps, but I'd already reached the point where I was being courageous about my taste even if I was scared I was overcoming it.
