62000 Nigerian Christians murdered since 2000. This is a silent slaughter. In June 2022, more than 50 parishioners at St Francis Xavier Church in Owo were massacred. The Nigerian govt blamed this massacre on their militant group ISWAP, Islamic state West Africa Province. 4 Catholic priests were murdered, 23 were kidnapped. 18000 Christian Churches and 2200 Christian schools have been set on fire. At Christmas Dec 2023, atleast 140 Nigerian Christians were massacred in attacks near Jos.
