“Tuesday Afternoon” – The Moody Blues

[media=https://youtu.be/wM8JjT-97i8]
“Tuesday Afternoon” is a track on the Moody Blues’ second studio album, Days of Future Passed. It was released as a single in 1968 and reached #24 on the US pop chart and #12 in Canada. Moody Blues guitarist and frontman Justin Hayward wrote the song while sitting in a field with his dog Tuesday on a Tuesday afternoon.

This is considered one of the British rock band’s best songs. It was ranked as MB’s 4th greatest song on the Ultimate Classic Rock site. Classic Rock History rated the song at #1, calling it “the group’s grandest work and quite simply, the finest recording of the band’s long career".

Way back in 72 I was getting my pilot's license. One of my fellow students had a cassette tape of Days of Future Passed and we would put it on to play while we studied the minutia of ground school subjects. I always loved Nights In White Satin most but Tuesday afternoon came close behind.

@hippyjoe1955 Days of Future Passed is a great album, in my opinion. "Nights in White Satin" is also one of my favorite tracks from the album.
