You know it’s funny

The longer I live the most I realize how unique an experience a mosh pit is.

I mean like those filthy pits that only happen at tiny clubs where everyone is just turned up to 11 off the jump. And we just go at it.

Had my nose broke once I think it was at Zao? Maybe boysetsfire, or Norma Jean. I can’t remember. Got straight kicked in the face. Blood all over my face and shirt. If you asked me how the show was all I could say is “awesome”.

What a weird thing we do. But it’s fascinating at the same time. Just an expression of this weird part of humanity. I can’t remember the band but I remember what happened afterwards. I was picked up and carried out of the pit by like 4 people, they put ice on my face and stopped the bleeding. Everyone made sure I was ok and everyone wanted to high five me and buy me drinks.

I guess I’m feeling introspective tonight but all I can say is experience things. We were talking today at work how all of us have these wild experiences in our lives, none of us have ever been “normal” or mundane.

I’m not saying go get kicked in the face. But experience things. It will change you even if you don’t realize it.

@Pinkstarburst Probably, it’s an expression of something real.

@PalteseMalconFunch Real and raw. An amazing experience.
Or when you go to see a band 20 years later and there are no mosh pits anymore because the fan base is in their 40s.
