I had my own self-made AM radio, as a girl, and on that radio I heard that one special song, from time to time, a song which was so beautiful it was almost killing me. I didn't know what it was, it was in English. I tried to find out but nobody knew what I was talking about. It was such a beautiful male voice, with a guitar accompaniment, and a string quartet. The string quartet was heavenly, I closed my eyes when the song was played.
Later I found out it was Paul McCartney's "Yesterday" 😏

@helenS The excitement of purchasing the a new album, checking out the artwork on the sleeve, the notes, often the lyrics.
Placing the record on the deck listening to the whole thing one track after another.

@MrAverage1965 I have an Apple Music subscription, it is very convenient, I can listen to whatever I want, all the time, and I can make my own playlists, but perhaps the magic of music is gone.

@helenS Perhaps not the magic of music but certainly the magic of the new album.
