🤔...........I think the best solo ever performed together was Joe Walsh and Don Felder playing Hotel California on the 77-78 Eagles tour. They just played it with so much passion and playing off each other was incredible! I saw that tour.

Judas Priest-Beyond the Realms of Death
Iron Maiden - Aces High
Ozzy Osbourne - Mr. Crowley
Jimi Hendrix- Voodoo child
And the greatest of all time IMO. Pink Floyd- Comfortably Numb
And certainly Gary Moore- Parisienne Walkways

I'd have to listen to the song and think about it. I just don't really remember the solos -- or most of the song.
@ChipmunkErnie Well yeah his Maserati does 185

@WhereTheCloudsareFarBehindMe I liked him when he was spending that year Rocky Mountain Way. And the bass to "Lost Woman" was one of the first basslines I ever learned.

@WhereTheCloudsareFarBehindMe I wonder if he every found his license back then?
I would love to, I really would, but I just gave my guitar and capo free to a good home.
@Mamapolo2016 Ugh when you hit that bend just right it’s just 😩

My personal favorite guitar solo. (2nd solo)

This is not really in the electric vein of Hotel Cal, but the guitar work is unforgettable. Paco de Lucia was writing new flamenco music for acoustic guitar in the '70s, and this song totally nails it!

If you liked that, check out Mediterranean Sundance, with Paco de Lucía & Al Di Meola

I'm particularly fond of Jerry Garcia. Here's Morning Dew, cued up to the 8 minute mark. They are in no hurry, but they do get there!

@Goodluckwiththat Agree with Sultans! People should check out Knopfler's fast work between about 4:40 and 7:00; then the duet with the sax that starts out so quietly around 8:00 minutes.
