At least he's not worse than Hitler. Just different interest of rulling over the name of Politics.
Besides..Coldberg knew, it would take a while to move tours it's final goal.
So far He already weaken the western Union. Also they're planning on to go after the Foxes next, by manipulating foreign regulations over International policies.
They knew the Foxes are now a powerful Nation and a threat tours their new establishment and some parts of it's Universe.
