I have this one memory of middle school when the boys and girls first really started getting into each other that scenes like this always sort of bring to mind. I remember the guys complaining they'd send the girl like a short note and then get a reply that went on for pages like oh my god so much of a pain. I read for pleasure though.
So things I wouldn't mind, getting an long message from a girl.

@PDXNative1986 i feel like im going crazy because i thought one of the songs you commented on my other post was about fairy tale like things, and i liked it but now i can't find the song. so i must be losing my marbles.

@AliceinWonderland It's not that unusual, even kids I knew had trouble with things like that frequently, I was the abnormal one I think largely owing to having a memory that will hold onto details if I want to like some kind of clam or something that just refuses to let go.
it's put me in embarassing situations before like I hadn't seen someone in a while and yet I knew just who they were and yet they forgot I even existed like talk about awkward.
I got really good at tracking down songs after awhile. If you know the lyrics I could search around.

@AliceinWonderland it's so bad I was born in 1986 and this album came out in 1990 and yet here I am like it drives me crazy that the only thing they ever play by them anymore is Hold on because that Debut album had much more radio worthy tracks.

by all rights this album along with Amy grant and Roxette are supposed to be before my time.

@AliceinWonderland I was honestly raised on some strange eclectic mix of them, Cathy Dennis, Amy Grant and Roxette.
Amy grant was safe back when mom was a Jehovas witness. Her kids became skeptics though.
we probably Wore her debut album and that tape out.

I am exceptionally fortunate my mother chose family over the witnesses.

@PDXNative1986 truth is timeless. it doesn't matter when the music came out. it could've come out before we were born. good music is good music.

@AliceinWonderland I got TIRED of hiding it too so I just started owning it.
I came out swinging like Pop music still occasionally produces Talent but holy shit it's gone down hill since the 90s. No one is going to convince me Colbie Caliat's voice isn't fucking DIVINE but ... Talent like that does not come around often to pop anymore.
People in the early 90s had taste man like what happened?

@AliceinWonderland I am a Swiftie but It really pisses me off that so much of the rest of the fandom doesn't seem to know any other girls that are amazing.

@AliceinWonderland Especially because there's stuff like this lurking out there...
I've basically been blessed by Music Journalist as having "Good taste." but In truth my taste is highly eclectic so I like even things I know I shouldn't.
but I kind of owe old friends from Experience project for pointing me in their direction.

@AliceinWonderland I have a really strong thing for hauntingly beautiful songs so you'd figure this stuff I'd loathe but [media=https://youtu.be/pNPInrQvkf8] I do like it. but if you want something more typical of what my taste in women's music has solidifiied into
[media=https://youtu.be/XaJUNrxWp7g] <----- Haunting & Beautiful. it's why M2m is the guilty pleasure they are. It's really not typical of me.

I'm like I hate seeing women sad but sad women make such beautiful music and I'm reaping all the benefits.
