Do you want your old MTV? Too bad they erased it?

I heard that MTV erased all the old archives has anyone else heard this?

It was MTV News archives. The parent company (Paramount) is trying to cut costs. I don't care, because I own a lot of their stock and I want to see it go up. But I fail to see how this does anything.
