What is the most important music work for you?

If i had to single out one substantial work of music, it would be Max Richter's Sleep, there are sections in there i could listen to always, it is a blend of calming and haunting sounds that swirl deliciously down inward and spiralling also into a void, the endless void, and it makes that void habitable. There was a video with some of that section where you see in semi slow motion a fare with a ferris wheel and it had a deeply sad and nostalgic feel to it, and i remember how i mused while looking at it that i have no memories of being at a fare, but it made me feel like how it must feel like, of a lazy summer holiday with loved ones, and looking back at those times after most of them have moved on or died.

The music itself is so much more, it is, as i said above what makes the void livable, hauntingly serene, giving ample space for dreaming, and a safe padded room for regretting, and resolutions, to not make those same mistakes, and to float for the rest of one's life, float and not care where you're going, because this music will make it all a ok wherever you end up, it becomes a part of the fabric of your unconciousness, and is thus the choice of everlasting re-listenings, and when there will be no access to it, it will still play magically all the time.

@Umile Thanks, i might be sharing songs that fit for me for this tonight, music is so wonderful how something so nebulous can be so tangible.

@SW-User I guess it's the memories that go along with it.

@SW-User A very nice choice. Fell in love with the song in High-school. Couldn't find the name though.
