@NativePortlander1970 it was a pretty controversial album with songs like cop killer. i'm sure the rodney king beating inspired it.

@beermeplease I turned 22 the day those four cops were let off, my second cousin's husband gave me a lever action rifle and four box of .300Savage cartridges and we went to the baptist church graveyard on the edge of our neighborhood with ten others, waiting for rioters, they never came.

@NativePortlander1970 it was even bad in san diego. i had a friend that lived down there during that time. he got chased by a pack of kids....yes kids that wanted to beat the hell out of him...he moved back up here real quick.

@beermeplease Luckily Portland and Seattle didn't get the riots like cali did, but of course you see the current shit happening in the PacNW after the mid to late 90's to early 00's invasions.

@Spoiledbrat I'll never forget spending my 22nd birthday holding a rifle and sitting with others waiting for a mob of rioters to approach our neighborhood in a SW Portland area suburb, they never came around.
