Teenage Wasteland, followed by Athena
Musicman · 61-69, M
@NativePortlander1970 I have Athena on my phone. 🙂
@Musicman I had that first pressing album that I got mint at a garage sale in 1988 just after I aged out of my group home when I turned 18, along with some first press Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, Deep Purple, and others. Too long of a story, I got into trouble with a group of people that forced me to go to the police, or I should clarify, my mother and her second husband forced me to go to the police, and I had to skip back to Portland. They put most of my stuff that I couldn't fit under 50 pounds in my storage locker, including ALL of my first press mint albums, about 65 in total, in her second husband's farmhouse basement, where the mice, mold, and mildew, destroyed everything over time. They'd be worth a fortune now.

@NativePortlander1970 Oh my gosh! That is a horrible shame. I am so sorry that happened to you. 💔😢😢😢😢😢
@Musicman Thank You, I was seriously pissed when I found out, along with the damaged were six years of every month from 1982 to 1988 National Lampoon, Soldier of Fortune, Shooting Times, Guns and Ammo, and other gun magazines, as well as numerous wall posters AND MY NUNCHAKUS 🤬
@Musicman The police confiscated my diving knife and throwing stars.

@NativePortlander1970 I am sorry to hear that ☹️ I use to really enjoy reading. I use to have my books in boxes on the floor. Twice the plumbing broke and the downstairs flooded. I lost a lot of books each time.
@Musicman I am so very sorry for your literary losses too :(

@NativePortlander1970 Some days life just sucks! Recently our losses have been theft. The worst part is it's happened four times and there has never been a break in. I even had the locks rekeyed. ☹️
@Musicman An inside job?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@NativePortlander1970 From who? My wife and I were together and we live alone. So how are they getting in and out without a trace???
@Musicman I'm guessing the locksmiths are responsible. Something I learned during my seven years in security, many safe installers are crackers as well, as well as alarm installers, they know exactly where to disable and hit.

@NativePortlander1970 Okay so before I had the locks rekeyed how did they know which house to hit?
@Musicman Always check what you put on your curb for garbage pickup
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Musicman Did you have any large deliveries before then, or move? Those who deliver and movers have been arrested for burglary and have rap sheets as well.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@NativePortlander1970 No we haven't.
@Musicman 🤔
@Musicman I'm running down the list of common causes I learned during my years in security.

Someone claiming to be a political canvasser come by, a relative with a rap sheet?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@NativePortlander1970 That's what I say too. It just doesn't make any sense. An old friend from Virginia, where we are from, said we should get security cameras. Then we could hook them up to our wifi and see what's happening when we are not home.
@Musicman Do you keep your RV at the house or store it in a secured lot?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@NativePortlander1970 At home. That is a serious clue we are not there. ☹️
@Musicman Were all your hits while You Both were traveling?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@NativePortlander1970 Yes they were.
@Musicman That's your answer to why You were hit.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@NativePortlander1970 But, how are they getting in and out without a trace??? 🤷‍♂️
