The band broke up in 1982 after eight years together and re-formed in 1997. Their 1999 smash hit, “Maria”, let the world know that Blondie was back and still had what it takes to make great music.
And it has to be said that Blondie’s iconic lead singer, Deborah Harry, still has what it takes to make your heart beat like a subway train…
Really good song, but I find the production a bit "lush." I thought maybe they were covering for Debra's voice. Not really a knock, but was a huge Blondie fan so I like the late 70s early 90s sound with their great rhythm guitar and Clem's wicked drums.
