@AuRevoir In my early 20s, I painted, scribbled my own funny comics, walked everywhere, and watched a lot of anime/collected the music on CDs. In my late 20s, I drank and raged; didn’t enjoy trying to make art anymore. I only liked drinking (but that wasn’t the cause of my problems, it only exacerbated them)
Weird to think about the difference now. Went from sad to unbearably angry.

If I tried to do my early 20s stuff again, I wouldn’t know where to start. 😅 Like I’ve completely lost my ability to draw stuff.

@Colonelmustardseed start with whatever sounds the most fun..

Maybe when you walk places you can take a little art pad with you and sit down underneath the shade of trees where you feel the most inspired and just start to do funny comics or something..

And when you’re back from your walk you can watch anime or look into what kind of cd collection you want to build?

No CD’s. I’m stuck on a Cat Stevens Station on Pandora, and trying to create a Tracy Chapman station because they don’t have one. 🥲 This is how I’m going to enter my 40s; with a proper music station I can travel around town to. Lol

@Colonelmustardseed I like how much more I like pandora than Spotify but my major issue with pandora is how difficult I find making playlists there..

@AuRevoir Seriously! The way Pandora is with ads and skips is beautiful. 🥹 Spotify ads disgust me. 😒

@Colonelmustardseed haha yeah pandora is more easy to handle and doesn’t get you out of the mood like Spotify does..

@AuRevoir Yeah. And the stations tend to keep the music close to the style of the bands you look for.

@Colonelmustardseed Yeah I've only ever found maybe one or two new songs that I liked with spotify...

Whereas old school youtube and pandora I actually found lots of new stuff... Unfortunately I don't always remember to add stuff I like to a playlist and lose it.. But at least it was found.. Most spotify suggestions are just them trying to push what they think is popular.. And I'm like.. "Why are they trying to have me listen to this garbage in my ear?"

@AuRevoir Yeah. All their tracking, and they don’t seem to understand that the stuff they’re pushing is nothing like the music a person is constantly listening to; not even the same genre.

@Colonelmustardseed Yeah, they were good for making a playlist of all your stuff you already like... They had like 95% of my library on there.. some stuff is like listed but it's blacked out.. They acknowledge the music and let you know it's existence but they don't always have the rights to the music I guess..

But as for "Hey we think you'll like this!" it became worthless to even try and accept their proposals of what they think is good.. As it just was usually what these big record labels were pushing in advertising rather than like you said, anything catered to actual tastes or interests I had..
