I could have sworn I heard this tune on the car radio when I was about 10-11 years old (1987-1988)? Wouldn't surprise me, because it had just been released a couple of years earlier in 1985.

My parents played Alpert when I was a teenager. Always cool.

When he first made money he bought lika a half mile of beachfront property nean Santa Monica and has been selling it in lots.

Yeah he's somewhat well off😋
