It's like any art-form. You either like it and so might think it "cool". If you are un-moved by it or actively dislike it; you won't.

"Cool" though...., That slang use is still around then? I don't know when and where (probably somewhere in the USA) it was coined, but it was certainly common when I were a lad, in the 1960s!
@ArishMell "Cool” is one of those AA slang terms that people were using much longer ago than that. It was jazz lingo here in the 1930s and 40s. That kids use it now means it will probably last forever.

@bijouxbroussard Thankyou! I did wonder if it had come from the jazz world but I first encountered it in my teens when discovering pop music.
