But they never made it to number #1

I was spending some time today trotting through my music collection on my phone. Ran across Smokie the group and "Living next door to Alice" was there most popular song. And I always wondered like The Proclaimers "500 miles" Joan Jett and the Blackhearts "I love rock and roll"

All great songs good bands but they never made it again to number one status or like The Who, The Guess Who, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Chicago and Ki⚡⚡

I wonder how the others in the group feel that they made a hit song but then nothing else and they've faded away sure they still play at garden parties small gatherings at corporations can blow $20K on some washed up singers. Sort of like Air Supply out of Australia you know they're still around Loverboy I saw them over at Spirit Mountain Casino a few months ago.

But how do the little bands the ones that made maybe one hit maybe they made it up to number 10 on the Hot 100 list but then they were out of the league and out of the concerts how do they feel now what do they feel does a regret their choices or do they just continually keep playing hoping for another burst of popularity?

Led Zeppelin 1V was the third highest selling album in the US! No #1 hits!

@Goodluckwiththat yes I remember the movie that was pretty hilarious the music helped a bit but the acting was kind of spot on I'd say.

@Disgustedman nobody watched it for the acting, pure entertainment, and Phobe Cates...lol

@Goodluckwiththat actually the acting is what it made it good or do you realize what a movie is about?

@ArtieKat I was mainly commenting how it must have hurt, to be a one hit wonder....
