“Biggest Part of Me” – Ambrosia

[media=https://youtu.be/_KH_Zd_jixM]
Soft rock love song released in 1980 by the American band, Ambrosia. It peaked at #3 on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and US Adult Contemporary charts.

“Biggest Part of Me” was written by founding band member David Pack. Concerned that some of the lyrics were too “Hallmark-card cheesy”, the songwriter reportedly called Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers to ask for his perspective. When Pack said he could picture bands performing the song at a Holiday Inn, McDonald basically told him that wasn’t a bad thing.

Cheesy or not, this song has a nice groove and has aged pretty well, I think.

I’ve always liked their style and sound, despite the unfortunate band name

Seems their music was always on the radio in the late 70s, early 80s.
The epitome of “easy listening”

@Ghostinthemachine I like their "easy listening" style and sound as well. They originally called their band "Ambergris Mite," but changed it after they discovered there was already a band with the name "Ambergris".

Thanks. Very glad you enjoy my music posts. 😎
@Rutterman and I thought Ambrosia wasn’t that great 😁

I guess they really wanted a name that started with Amb

@Ghostinthemachine Lol. Ambergris Mite is an incredibly weird and somewhat off-putting name for a band. I think Ambrosia is an improvement.

Apparently so.
