Bob Dylan & Johnny Cash ~ Girl From the North Country

This is for me, to remember how I have loved,

[media=https://youtu.be/Je4Eg77YSSA]

Well, if you're travelin' in the north country fair,
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline,
Remember me to one who lives there.
She once was a true love of mine.

Well, if you go when the snowflakes storm,
When the rivers freeze and summer ends,
Please see if she's wearing a coat so warm,
To keep her from the howlin' winds.

Please see for me if her hair hangs long,
If it rolls and flows all down her breast.
Please see for me if her hair hangs long,
That's the way I remember her best.

I'm a-wonderin' if she remembers me at all.
Many times I've often prayed
In the darkness of my night,
In the brightness of my day.

So if you're travelin' in the north country fair,
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline,
Remember me to one who lives there.
She once was a true love of mine.

You are a gentle and loving soul, and I'm sorry you're sad, but we do sadness together well.😉🤭

Here's another version from the Lions that I like. Both serve justice in different moments of life, methinks....

@MoonlightLullaby Thank you. 🌷 Yes, I think we do sadness well together, too 😉

Definitely a different version, never would have known existed, and of justice, they speak in very different ways. This one feels like someone parting, freeing themselves of someone. I love when you change the tone of the song, with the same lyrics, they can take on such different meanings. 💯🤗

@thewindupbirdchronicles Glad you likey and yes, it does have a liberating type feel. 😌

My insight on music changed from watching SOA due to the most badass covers and musicians I never knew of. ✨

However, the show was a very emotional one and I was extremely attached to the characters. I cried a lot.😢
