Just got back from playing a fundraiser for Cerebral Palsy with my Beatles band.

It was a local, small effort, but it still raised over 6 grand just from the 50/50! I love playing benefits like that for a great cause. The dance floor was full, with people yelling out the words and dressed in Beatles shirts and the like. We got tons of compliments, handed out a bunch of business cards, and several people came over and personally thanked us afterward. One older gentleman got misty and borderline emotional...THAT is what I hope for when I play. I realize that we are playing someone else's music, but doing it well enough that it touches people.

There's a lot on my mind these days(including this weird place), and sometimes, one needs a soul recharge.

This was that charge.
