For myself. I have learned to be very careful with music when i'm depressed. I find too much comforting in melodic misery and it leads me to very dark places. I try to seek ways out of the mindset now rather than settle in for the long haul of misery. It's not an easy choice.

Idk. It just helps me calm me down. It's always been like this since I was a kid. I didn't have a lot of people to help me. Music became my cave for refuge from the storm.
