It is sad actually. It was a mistake. She has been playing in Russia during the off season for several years because the WNBA barely gets paid anything and she wants to save her money while she is fit to play.
She uses cannabis for sports related pain and has a medical marijuana card in Arizona but it is illegal in Russia. She had some cannabis oil in her vape pen thats it.
It is relatively minor and is legal in many places. She says that she never meant to pack it but inadvertently threw it in her bag. Yes this does mean that she also uses it illegally while in Russia.
Many athletes prefer cannabis oils over traditional narcotic pain management.

@nudistsueaz Your comment would apply if she had packed the cartridges on purpose. She very frequently flys back and forth to Russia but accidentally placed them in her bag( her testimony)

@Budwick No need to insult her sexuality because this matter is not related to who she has sex with. As far as I know she had never claimed to be a man or a different gender. As meantioned above she claims that it was a simple mistake. She goes to Russia often and had no intention of attempting to fly with the cannabis oil.

@graphite I understand the dynamics. I'm not saying that it isin't fair. Im not a fan so I have no feelings on it but thats why they go play overseas.
Their careers aren't super long and they want to try to make enough to save over the long term. You would expect a professional athlete to have more money.
