“The Boss” – Diana Ross

[media=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKqeklsQH2A]

Catchy dance tune recorded by Diana Ross in 1979. It was written by longtime Ross collaborators Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson, who both provided backing vocals on the record (Simpson also played the piano). The record reached #1 on the US Dance Club chart, #12 on the R&B chart, and #19 on the singles chart.

“The Boss” is the title track on Diana Ross’ tenth studio album. Ashford & Simpson produced the album in addition to writing all of its songs. The Boss made it to #10 on the US R&B albums chart and #14 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Also, Diana Ross turns 78 today. Happy birthday to Ms. Ross

I love Diana Ross. I knew it was her birthday today because a radio DJ said so. They played this gorgeous song to celebrate.

@Rutterman I love it. It's one of three songs on "The Force Behind The Power" that they often play on the station I have on (the other two being "One Shining Moment" and "If We Hold On Together"). I have that album on CD.
