@ClassicRocker At first, Polygram could not locate the originals, so he worked from safeties. He said that he got it sounding good, but on the day he was supposed to send his master to the CD plant, someone found the tapes. He said it was no contest and started from scratch.

@uncalled4 I'm glad they found them, I am in awe of all you have been a part of musically.

@ClassicRocker Thanks, but it's really not that much. I've just bugged people. I needed a mastering engineer about 15 years ago and I knew this guy's work very well. He did lots of the original Mercury and Polydor CDs in the mid-80s and I've learned a ton from him.
