If you're in your 40s or 50s would you be surprised to find out someone my age likes the Beastie Boys?

I only ask because I gave my middle aged coworker a surprise like that when I sang a lyric.

I just thought it was sort of funny because it ain't like they aren't huge or anything.

No. I've found that tastes vary more now than ever, and across more age groups. I'm not any more surprised than you might be if a 54-year-old likes Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo.
